Evangelistic Training

Evangelistic Training

Knowing God and making Him Known is our number one purpose in life.  As mandated by Christ, Himself, we are sent to proclaim the Gospel (Evangelism) and to teach others to follow Christ (Discipleship Training).  From the Lord’s example, we learn that, men are His method of evangelizing and making disciples.  Your personal development is crucial in expanding the Kingdom of God and is necessary for the evangelization and development of others.  Jesus said, “follow me and I will make you to become fishers of men”…

The mission of the Spirit and Truth Worship and Training Church, its Branch Churches and Affiliate Ministries is to  make Him known. We are to make known to all peoples, cultures and nations everywhere of God’s call to reconciliation, to forgiveness through the finished work of Christ, to wholeness through the empowerment of His Spirit, and to a manifested and predetermined destiny as the Sons of God, called to be Saints!

The call to become an Apostolic Movement: a movement of God into the harvest fields of the world will mean:

  • A church focused on the message of the finished work of Christ, the renewing of the Spirit and the emergence  and advancement of the Kingdom of God
  • A church with sound doctrine, integrating faith and learning
  • A church with a holy passion, surrendered to the purposes of God
  • A church, which reaches and multiplies across all boundaries: religious, ethnic and national
  • A church that models Jesus
  • A church that is relevant in the community
  • A church where there is true fellowship and true worship
  • A church that integrates evangelism with discipleship
  • A church that invests in people and builds community wealth

We strive to make the message of the gospel relevant to our culture and communities

1.) by remaining faithful to God;

2.)  by preaching and practicing sound doctrine;

3.) by investing in people and communities;

4.) by enlarging the territories, assigned to us through evangelism and discipleship and;

5.) by showing love and sensitivity to the lost people in this world.

We view our local churches as mission outposts. Our pastors are appointed not just to a local congregation and building, but to the evangelization of whole communities, towns and cities.

We see ourselves as an Apostolic Movement. We are a “sent” people, charged with the task of

reaching new territories and new populations of people with the gospel. We shall accomplish this purpose by working in the following areas:

  • Engaging in effectual, fervent and prevailing prayers
  • Preaching and practicing sound doctrine
    • Pursuing relevance in community and culture
    • Maintaining Integrity of Purpose
    • Perfecting Excellence in Ministry
    • Conducting Effective Worship
    • Creating and generating Evangelistic Environments
    • Engaging in local, regional, national and global Evangelism
